Since the end of the twentieth century, there have been cases in which the youth were demanding freedom of expression and to criticize the distortion of socialism. Socio-economically foreign trade deficit reached 1 billion rubles and the people were gulping.
Demonstrations, including the Social-Democratic movement, the New Age and the Mongolian Democratic Union, have been held after the groups initially demanding socialist reorganization eventually sought a democratic system.
The first democratical meeting was held on December 7, 1989 in Khovd, then on December 10, 1990 in Ulaanbaatar, where the democratic wind was strengthened. Revolutionized the political system, multi-party system and respect for human rights was demanding to the authorities. But the demonstrators declared hunger Strike because the authorities did not respond properly. The current leader Batmunkh J. was banning to use of force. On 12th of march 1990, political bureau has resigned by a decision of 7th congress of the party.
