BOGD GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB
The Bogd Golf Club is located in a valley of the Bogd Khan Mountains and 16 kilometers from Ulaanbaatar. Hence, it is the country’s first and world standard gold course with 18-hole in Mongolia. The Bogd Golf Club was opened in 2013 and developed by David Dale (Golf Plan). The course with par 72 is 6,443 meters long. Amazingly, the golf field is created without causing damage to natural environment. Water hazards, natural streams, sand bunkers and dramatic differences in elevation characterize the course in the hilly, almost treeless landscape.
Moreover, the course is designed like the traditional link courses of the British Isles, weather and seasons also play a precise role. However, the special features are the often-deep blue sky in Mongolia, the intense sunlight and low humidity. Therefore, it is also very nice to play golf in winter with temperatures below zero at the Bogd Golf Club. The sporty service offers driving ranges, golf courses and a pro shop with rental equipment.
Furthermore, guests have access to a restaurant and a Japanese spa and sauna. Ski resort at site is popular during winter time. If you have a little more time, you should visit the nearby monumental the Chinggis Khan’ Statue complex.
