    DETAILED ITINERARY

    DAY 01

    Arrival in Ulaanbaatar

    Welcome to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia! Your private guide and driver will be waiting for you on the arrival hall in the city airport. Your guide will be holding a welcome signage with our company logo with your names. Mongolia Luxury Holiday
    A brief introduction to the city will be given on your comfortable private drive to the hotel. After check-in, you’ll have the remainder of the day to rest and freshen up.

    DAY 02

    Sightseeing tour in the Nomads’ city

    In the morning, at 9am tour guide will pick you up at your hotel.
    Today, we explore the city, visit Gandan Monastery, Mongolia’s largest functioning Buddhist monastery. Listen to the horns calling lamas and monks to temple, and capture the monks’ daily rituals. While visiting the adjoining Megjid Janraisig Temples, we will see 26-meter-high majestic gilded statue of Migjid Janraisig.
    Next, visit Sukhbaatar square and Parliament House displayed with Great Khans memorial statue. The square lies at the heart of the city surrounded by theaters, government buildings.
    Continue to visit National Museum of Mongolia for to get an overview of Mongolia’s history and culture including nomadic life, traditional costumes of ethnic groups, sacred religious relics, and Stone & Bronze Age artifacts.
    After lunch at “Modern Nomads” restaurant served with national food, we will visit Zanabazar Fine Art Museum. The museum displays collections of world’s and Mongolian famous artists, including many original works of Zanabazar, who was Mongolian religious leader and artist in the 17th century.
    Afterward, we will go to see “Wonders of Mongolia” folklore show by famous Tumen-Ekh ensemble – is one of the most successful folk-art groups to share traditional Mongolian music with the world, having traveled to over 40 countries.     DAY 03

    Flight to Gobi Desert – Moltsog sand dunes – Bayanzag (Flaming cliffs)

    In early morning, you will be transferred to the city airport for morning flight to Gobi Desert (~1.5 hours). When your flight arrives at Gobi local airport your Gobi tour begins with a warm greeting from our local guide who will accompany you for the next four days.
    We will drive to camel herder family near the Moltsog Els, which is one of the few regions of the Gobi covered by sand dunes. These magnificent sand dunes are surrounded by hills with willow trees, streams and bushes.
    Visit in their Ger, explore their unique nomadic lifestyle. The sand dunes are the perfect place for camel riding. We will discover this magnificent place on camel back. Mongolia is home to 2/3 of the two-humped Bactrian camels in the world. It is a gentle, calm and extraordinary patient animal. Two humps support you from both sides and easy pace will comfort you so much.
    After lunch at “Mongol Gobi” Ger camp, we will visit the flaming, red cliffs at Bayanzag – is a famous for the first discovery of dinosaur eggs, bones and complete dinosaur skeletons which is first discovered by Roy Chapman Andrews, American expedition in the 1920.
    Also, this area well known for red tall rocks formed as a result of wind and water erosion which look like fire in the middle of the desert from distance, especially in the evening sunshine. As scientists defined it was an inland sea bottom some 200 million years ago.
    Afterwards, we will drive to Three Camel Lodge – awarded the prestige of being one of the top 50 eco-lodges in the world.

    DAY 04

    Relaxing in Gobi and explore Petroglyph of Havtsgait Rock

    Today we will continue to explore Gobi and excursion to Havtsgait Valley, site of ancient rock drawings left by early Gobi settlers for more than 15,000 years ago. Hundreds of petroglyphs adorn rocks scattered on the top of the mountain and you will be rewarded with this amazing view after your hike up to the hill. These ancient and beautiful works of art can be clearly seen as the sun hits the rocks from a certain angle. The scenes depicted in these petroglyphs shed light on the everyday lives of the people who lived in the Gobi thousands of years ago.

    DAY 05

    Yol valley in Three Beauties of Gobi Mt. National Park

    After relaxing breakfast, at 10.30am drive to Gobi Nomad Lodge and check-in at the lodge and lunch. Explore around the lodge.
    In the afternoon, take a short drive to explore Yol valley (Eagle or Vulture valley) situated in “Three beauties of Gobi” Mt. National Park. This valley is originally established to conserve birdlife in the region. But it’s now more famous for its dramatic scenery in the middle of the Gobi Desert with a meter’s thick ice almost all year around, except late summer.
    There we will do hiking through grassy meadows, small streams, long and narrow valley with sheltered by high cliff walls, sunlight bouncing off amazing rocks, covered with wild flowers and Gobi plants. You may be lucky enough to spot wild sheep and goat, grazing high on the cliff walls.
    Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

    DAY 06

    Fly back to Ulaanbaatar – Terelj National Park

    In the early morning, transfer to the local airport and fly back to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival at the city airport, we will take 2.5 hrs drive to Terelj Lodge in Terelj National Park. The national Park is one of the most visited national parks in Mongolia. You can see the extraordinary formation of rocks and stones; some of them look quite similar to turtles. On the way, stop at Ovoo – rock pile on the pass of high mountain; used in worship of religion.
    In the afternoon, we will explore the national park and take little drive to see Turtle Rock – interesting rock formation looking like a turtle.
    Continue to visit Ariyabal meditation temple – surrounded by scenic mountains with massive rock formations and sits at top of the mountain. The distance between the gate and the actual temple is about 1 km and it is only accessible by walking. To get to the top, you would cross the suspension bridge and climb up on 108 stairs, according to Buddhist prayer beads. This small hike is seen as a ritual to cleanse one’s sins.     DAY 07

    Genghis Khan’s statue complex – 13th Century Theme Park

    After breakfast, take a short drive to visit “Genghis Khan Statue Complex” which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. There is a recreation area, restaurants, and souvenir shops occupy the base structure. From here, you can ascend to the head of the horse using an elevator. There you have a good panoramic view over the complex area and the scenery beyond.
    Drive towards to 13th century theme park. This theme park is built and established in real time micro kingdom of the 13th Century to make the real experiences for the tourists during their visit. Within this country, the rule of the law is strong and there is no television, electricity and phones are allowed for the real experience.

    • Upon arrival at entrance, visit Relay-station camp
    • Visit and lunch at King Palace and wear Mongolian traditional costumes – it is the main attraction point of the theme park,
    • Visit Shaman camp – you can see customs, ritual of worshiping of several kinds of Shaman clan.
    • Visit herder’s camp – witness nomads’ lifestyle, great opportunity to ride a horse and a camel.
    • Visit educational camp – opportunity to get know about the unique culture of the literacy,
    • Visit craftsmen camp – enjoy seeing the craftsmen artwork such as horse hold utensils, women’s ornaments, jewelry and tools etc.

    Afterwards, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

    DAY 08

    Bogd Khan Mt. National Park & Manzushir

    Today at 8.30am, we will take 2.5 hours’ drive to Manzushir Monastery – located in Bogd Khan Mt. National Park
    – Quick visit to the monastery – was destroyed by communists in 1937, new temple is built and serves as a museum.
    – Explore around sightseeing – including large boiling kettle, religious images carved in the rock.
    After lunch at Ger camp, we will depart for award-winning HS Khaan Resort Hotel, located on vast prairie surroundings and continuous boundless, extremely peaceful grasslands. Mongolia Luxury Holiday
    We will arrive at the resort around 4pm. Check in and explore around the resort.

    DAY 09

    Mongol Nomadic – Hustai National Park (Wild Horse Park)

    After breakfast, at 9am take a little drive to Mongol Nomadic Ger camp for Mongolian nomads show which will be show you real Mongolian nomadic way of living and traditional custom and culture for the past period. The show demonstrates traditional living way of real Mongolian nomads and breeding and using of five kinds of livestock and movement from one place to another using ox, yak, camel and horse carts which are the carts.
    After lunch time, served by Mongolian food in the camp, we will drive to the Hustai National Park. This area is home to the Mongolian wild horse known as Perzevalski horse (takhi) with unique landscape that features mountain and steppe
    Upon we arrive to the camp, we will check the Information Center about the national park and wild horse. The takhi and marmots are easy to see around 2-3hrs earlier than sunset, when they come down from mountains for water to stream. Therefore, in early evening, we will take short drive and hiking to see the horses in their natural habitat. Seeing these truly wild horses which numbered in the hundreds of thousands of years ago, will make you feel like you have traveled thousands of years back in time. There is great opportunity to take photo for these endangered horses. If you are lucky, you can see fox, deer, roe deer, eagle, and more animals and birds… Afterwards, return to the resort for overnight. Mongolia Luxury Holiday

    DAY 10

    Ulaanbaatar & Half day city tour

    Morning is free for you. At 11.30am, return to the city.
    After lunch at local restaurant in the city, visit Bogd Khan Palace museum – the complex was a residence of 8th Bogd Javzandamba in 19th century, the head of Mongolian religion. The palace consists of seven Summer Prayer temples and the winter palace.
    Next, visit we will visit Zaisan Memorial Hill is located in the south side of Ulaanbaatar City, right beside the Bogd Khan Mountain having a best view of the city and surrounding hills.
    If you would like go to shopping for souvenir or local products, your guide will be ready to serve for that.

    DAY 11

    Departure

    You will be free at leisure in your hotel or wander around on your own until being escorted to the Chinggis Khaan International Airport for your departure flight home. End of service.       You will stay in a good 4-star hotel in Ulaanbaatar. An upgrade is possible on request!
      During the excursion in the countryside, you will stay in Tourist Ger camps.
      Tourist Camp is a kind of hotel that serves customers with Ger (Yurt) instead of a hotel room and always located at the best viewing spot. It’s the most popular accommodation type for a countryside trip in Mongolia that consists of 30-40 Gers (Mongolian traditional yurt), a restaurant and some entertainment facilities.
      Most visitors happy to stay in Ger, which provide an authentic taste of Mongolian culture and adventure, their most enjoyable experience in Mongolia.

      During your trip in Mongolia, you will be served mainly European dishes and sometimes authentic Mongolian foods. Lunch and dinner consist of 3-4 courses (soup and/or salad, main course, dessert) and bottled water.
      If you require special meals due to religious, medical limitation and vegetarian food, please inform us so that arrangements can be made in advance.

      Car: A good car is an important part of your comfort trip in Mongolia. There will be a good 4×4 car for this trip based on the number of people in your group.


      Road:
      The asphalted roads are 40% and the unpaved roads are 60%.
      During the trip, it takes approximately 2-6 hours driving (80-280km) from one to next destination depending on road and weather condition on each driving day. But it is not nonstop drive! We can take a short stop frequently everywhere along the road for photographs, toilets, stretch and meet with local nomads.

      Gear: Camera, binoculars, flashlight and travel lamp. Some Tourist camps do not have 24-hour electricity. It is therefore recommended to bring your own travel lamp!
