Day 01: Genghis Khan Statue complex & Terelj National Park
In the morning at 9am, we will drive to Terelj National Park, which is most visited park in Mongolia. On the way, we will visit “Genghis Khan Statue Complex” which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. There is a recreation area, restaurants, and souvenir shops occupy the base structure. From here, you can ascend to the head of the horse using an elevator. There you have a good panoramic view over the complex area and the scenery beyond. Then continue to drive to Terelj National Park
Upon arrival at the Ger camp, we will have lunch. Then it’s relaxing time to be on your own. Before dinner time, we will visit local nomadic family to experience firsthand how people live the country side, a lifestyle which has not changed for centuries.

Day 02: Terelj National Park trip- Ulaanbaatar
After relaxing breakfast, we will explore the national park and take a short drive to see Turtle Rock - interesting rock formation looking like a turtle and visit Ariyabal meditation temple - surrounded by scenic mountains with massive rock formations and sits at top of the mountain. From the top, you can enjoy the breathtaking view overlooking the Terelj National Park. There is great opportunity to ride a horse.
After lunch at the Ger camp, return to Ulaanbaatar. We will at your hotel around 4pm.

Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia- Mostly described, as sunny, peaceful and open, Ulaanbaatar is a city of contrast where modern life comfortably blends with Mongolian traditional lifestyle. Wide streets are flocked by modern cars, while horsemen and cattle are still common scene.
Genghis Khan Statue Complex is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. It is connected with Ulaanbaatar by a paved road with 54km.There is a recreation area, restaurants, and souvenir shops occupy the base structure. From here, visitors use an elevator or walk to the head of the horse through chest and back neck of the horse, where they can have farseeing and good panorama view over the complex area.
Terelj National Park is one of the most visited and interesting national parks of Mongolia. It is connected with Ulaanbaatar by a paved road with 70km.
The National Park is by its natural beauty, forested alpine mountains and interesting rock formations (Massive woolsack weather conditions) very well known.
Highlights: Turtle Rock, Meditation temple Ariyabal and visit local nomadic families. During the summer there are great opportunities for hiking, horseback riding, rock climbing, flower and bird watching.
The Turtle Rock, or called Melkhi Khad by the locals, is an interesting rock formation looking like a turtle. This giant rock formation is a popular spot for visitors to the area. There are you can ride a camel or travel on horseback around scenic nature.
Ariyabal meditation temple is situated in the scenic area of Terelj National Park, 3 km from Turtle Rock. Buddhist Monks performs meditation ritual for many years amongst beautiful and tranquil mountains.
The temple is surrounded by scenic mountains with interesting rock formations and sits at top of the mountain. The entrance of the gate is accessible by car, hiking or on horseback. The distance between the gate and the actual temple is about 1 km and it is only accessible by walking. To get to the top, you would cross the suspension bridge and climb up on 108 stairs, according to Buddhist prayer beads. This small hike is seen as a ritual to cleanse one’s sins. The temple, when observed from distance, can be seen as a beautiful white elephant and the staircase looks as if the dangling elephant’s trunk. From the top, you can enjoy the breathtaking view overlooking the Terelj National Park.
Visiting nomadic family - You can enjoy visiting the nomad family to experience firsthand how people live the country side, a lifestyle which has not changed for centuries. Here you can help the herders with their daily tasks to get an idea of how nomadic people alongside of their livestock.

Q: What is tourist Ger Camp?
A: Tourist Ger camp is traditional style accommodation with full service facilities, most commonly used in outside of the city. The Ger is a round structure of walls, poles and a peaked roof covered with canvas and felt, and tightened with ropes.
Tourist Ger camp - has consists with 20-30 Gers (Mongolian traditional dwelling), restaurant, and some entertainment facilities, western style toilet and hot water showers. Each Ger has 2 to 4 beds and furnished with a table, chairs and wood-stove. Most visitors prefer to stay in Ger, which provide an authentic taste of Mongolian culture and adventure, their most enjoyable experience in Mongolia.
Q: What meal is included? What is the restaurant like?
A: We select restaurants based on our experiences, client satisfaction, location and cuisine. Normally we include three meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner) each day during the whole trip.
In Ulaanbaatar, you can expect a good variety of quality restaurants with international foods.
We mostly use following restaurants for lunch & dinner in the city trip: “Modern Nomads”, “bd’s Mongolia Barbeque”, “City Nomads”, “Khaan Ger” and hotel restaurants in Ulaanbaatar. Lunch & dinners are mostly served in Western food, and sometimes Mongolian food, or a combination.
Outside of the city, we generally eat breakfast and dinner in best tourist Ger camp in their region and some day of longer trip take a packed lunch. Your packed lunch will be carried in appropriate containers to prevent spillage or spoiling. Ger camps serve both Mongolian and international foods, and there will usually be a choice of main dish.
Q: I am a vegetarian; will you provide vegetarian meals for me?
A: Sure, we can always make the arrangement according to your requirements. So if you have any special requirements on your food, please let us know so that we can inform the restaurants beforehand to meet your needs.
