    DETAILED ITINERARY

    DAY 01

    Arrival in Ulaanbaatar

    Welcome to Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by Amicus driver in the arrivals hall at the international airport and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, free at leisure and have a good rest to recover from the jet lag. If you feel like going for a walk and checking out places nearby, feel free to ask the hotel receptionist for recommendations.

    DAY 02

    Genghis khan statue complex – Chinggis city

    At 8.30am, our trip will start to the Chinggis city and the beautiful countryside of eastern part of Mongolia.
    Our first visit is a “Genghis Khan Statue Complex” which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. There is a recreation area, restaurants, and souvenir shops occupy the base structure. From here, we will ascend to the head of the horse using an elevator. There you have a good panoramic view over the complex area and the scenery beyond. You are now definitely in Genghis Khan’s country!
    In the late afternoon, we will reach to the Chinggis city and check-in at the hotel. After some time, refreshment in the hotel, we will explore the city.

    DAY 03

    Birthplace of Genghis Khan (Dadal village)

    At 8.30am, we will drive to the Dadal village, where famous for being the place of birth of the greatest leader of Mongolia, Genghis Khan. This area is a gorgeous natural reserve where you can have a rest enjoying the lakes around, rivers and forests.
    We will around in the late afternoon and explore the village life.
    Afterwards, check-in the Ger camp.

    DAY 04

    Birthplace of Genghis Khan – Binder village

    After breakfast, we will visit there several historical sites such as Deluun Boldog and Khajuu springs. Deluun boldog is a low hill where Genghis Khan was born. Nearby is a small flowing spring called Khajuu Bulag and is the location of where Genghis Khan was bathed after birth.
    Also, we will visit a famous local hunter men’s Ger museum.
    After lunch, we will drive to Binder village and cross the Onon River. Explore the village.
    Dinner and overnight at Ger camp at Kurkh River valley.

    DAY 05

    Rashaan Rocks and Ancestor’s Wall – Bereeven monastery

    After breakfast, we will drive to the Ancestor’s Wall and visit ancient monuments including the Rashaan Khad inscriptions, deer stone monuments, and Binder Ovoo along the way. First, we will explore the rock writings at Rashaan Had Rock with numerous carvings and paintings depicting animals and humans as well as carvings of several hundreds of ancient tribal seals and scripts.
    Also, the Deer Monuments from the end of Bronze Age and beginning of Iron Age in the Valley of Jargalant River will be explored today.
    After lunch, we will explore the ruins of Bereeven Monastery, where we will arrive in the late afternoon. The Monastery itself is located in Jargalant river valley backed by steep cliff of sacred mountain and the valley is well renowned for its rich vegetation and pasture for domestic animals and now by famous herdsmen people. Now the Baldan Bereeven Monastery includes three restored temples and nearly 50 remains of temples, stupas and other religious structures. We will explore the ruins and meet the monks.
    Drive towards to the Bayanbulag Ger camp for dinner and overnight.

    DAY 06

    Blue Lake (Huh Nuur)

    After relaxing breakfast at 10am, we will drive to the beautiful Blue Lake, where young Temuujin was enthroned as a king of united tribes of Mongolia and titled as “Genghis khan”. Area around the lake is a place of natural beauty surrounded by a mountain and is abundant of various species of animal and vegetation.
    After lunch, explore the area.

    DAY 07

    Terelj National Park

    At 8am, we will drive to Terelj National Park. This is one of the most visited national parks in Mongolia which is by its natural beauty, forested alpine mountains and interesting rock formations (Massive woolsack weather conditions) very well known.
    On the way, we will visit authentic local nomadic family to experience firsthand how people live in the countryside and observe their lifestyle which has not changed for centuries. Here you can help the herders with their daily tasks to get an idea of how nomadic people alongside with their livestock.
    After lunch, we will see Turtle Rock – interesting rock formation looking like a turtle and visit Ariyabal meditation temple – surrounded by scenic mountains with massive rock formations and sits at top of the mountain. From the top, you can enjoy the breathtaking view overlooking the Terelj National Park. There is great opportunity to ride horse.

    DAY 08

    Ulaanbaatar – half day city tour

    After breakfast, we will return to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival at city, we will visit Zaisan Memorial Hill, which is located in the south side of Ulaanbaatar City, right beside the Bogd Khan Mountain having a best view of the city and surrounding hills.
    Then lunch will be at “Modern Nomads” which is one of the best restaurants in the city. Afterwards, Genghis Khan’s square. If you want to go shopping for souvenirs and local products, your guide will be ready to serve you for that. Suggested shopping places are State department store, famous “Gobi” cashmere factory store and “Naran Tuul” Black market.
    In the early evening, we will visit “Wonders of Mongolia” folklore show by famous Tumen-Ekh ensemble – is one of the most successful folk art groups to share traditional Mongolian music with the world, having traveled to over 40 countries.
    Dinner is at “Bd’s Mongolian Barbeque” international chain restaurant. After dinner, transfer to the hotel.

    DAY 09

    Departure

    You will be free at leisure in your hotel or wander around on your own until being escorted to the Chinggis Khaan International Airport for your departure flight home. End of service. Meal: Breakfast

      You will stay in a good 4-star hotel in Ulaanbaatar. An upgrade is possible on request!
      During the excursion in the countryside, you will stay in Tourist Ger camps.
      Tourist Camp is a kind of hotel that serves customers with Ger (Yurt) instead of a hotel room and always located at the best viewing spot. It’s the most popular accommodation type for a countryside trip in Mongolia that consists of 30-40 Gers (Mongolian traditional yurt), a restaurant and some entertainment facilities.
      Most visitors happy to stay in Ger, which provide an authentic taste of Mongolian culture and adventure, their most enjoyable experience in Mongolia.

      During your trip in Mongolia, you will be served mainly European dishes and sometimes authentic Mongolian foods. Lunch and dinner consist of 3-4 courses (soup and/or salad, main course, dessert) and bottled water.
      If you require special meals due to religious, medical limitation and vegetarian food, please inform us so that arrangements can be made in advance.

      Car: A good car is an important part of your comfort trip in Mongolia. There will be a good 4×4 car for this trip based on the number of people in your group.


      Road:
      The asphalted roads are 40% and the unpaved roads are 60%.
      During the trip, it takes approximately 2-6 hours driving (80-280km) from one to next destination depending on road and weather condition on each driving day. But it is not nonstop drive! We can take a short stop frequently everywhere along the road for photographs, toilets, stretch and meet with local nomads.

      Hiking boots and sandals, waterproof jacket, raincoat, umbrella, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, comfortable shoe, insect repellent, sunscreen, and prescription medication (if required).
      Gear: Camera, binoculars, flashlight and travel lamp. Some Tourist camps do not have 24-hour electricity. It is therefore recommended to bring your own travel lamp!
