Day 02: Arrive in Beijing, China - Explore Ancient Capital of Beijing
Breakfast in hotel. Beijing was once the capital of ancient China for more than 700 years from Yuan Dynasty (1271 A.D) after the Mongolian Emperor Kublai Khan. The tour today will take you to explore the monuments of this ancient capital. Firstly you will come to Tiananmen Square that is the largest one in the world and there were many important political movements taking place here. On the north of the square is the Forbidden City that is the world’s largest imperial complex with red walls where 24 Chinese emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1921) once lived. In 1987 it was named as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. You will have a walk tour through it and then come to the Jingshan Park where you will take a bird’s view of the Forbidden City. Jingshan Park was the imperial park of the royal families in Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, now becomes a public park for local people and visitors. In the afternoon you will enjoy free time at Wangfujing Street that’s the most famous in Beijing. (B, L)
Day 03: Tour Great Wall (Mutianyu) of China
Breakfast in hotel. You're not a true man until you get to the Mutianyu Great Wall! Great Wall came into existence since the Chinese nations were united by Emperor Qin Shi Huang in B.C. 220, and then continuously built by following dynasties (till 1644) over the mountains from east to west to prevent the invasions from the northern tribes. Undoubtedly this man-made wonder became the world’s largest military structure and the symbol of Chinese civilization. It’s a place for heroes. After the local lunch, you will get back to city and have a stop by the Olympic venues like Bird’s Nest and Water Cube for photo opportunities. In the afternoon you will enjoy a leisure time at Summer Palace, the best and the biggest imperial garden in China. The garden came into existence in the 1750s and had once been a summer resort for the emperors of Qing Dynasty with gardens, art galleries, pavilions, bridges, lakes, hills, temples, etc. Unfortunately all those treasures could not elude the rampages of the Anglo-French Allied Force and was destroyed by fire in 1860s. In 1992 it was listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. Overnight at Hilton Wangfujing Hotel.
(Please request hotel to prepare packed breakfast for tomorrow morning). (B, L)

The Terra Cotta Army is now regarded as the Eighth Wonder of the World and UNESCO World Heritage. Lunch will be arranged at a restaurant to eat local noodles. After that you will be transferred back to airport (if time available a quick look at Xian City) for your flight back to Beijing. Meet and transfer to Wangfujing Hilton Hotel. (B, L)
Day 05: Be A Beijinger!
Breakfast in hotel. It’s an interesting experience to touch the local lifestyle in China. In the morning let’s join in the local morning exercise at park of Temple of Heaven. After that you will visit the Temple of Heaven where emperors once prayed for good harvests and the Panjiayuan Antique Market,. In the afternoon enjoy a walking tour to visit the local alleys and backstreets – Hutongs.is regarded as the last embodiment of old Beijing spirit. “Go-to-Hutongs” now becomes a call for those who would like to meet the Beijing local residence, learn their true life and look back upon the old Beijing stories. Rickshaw is available but optional for visiting the Hutong for those who do not like to walk. Then enjoy your free time at the neighboring Shichahai Lake Area where, once the entertainment center from Qing Dynasty now is highlighted by bars, restaurants and beautiful scenery. This is one of the most scenic areas of the Province. In the evening, we will climb up to the Singing Dune, one of the highest dunes, to see the breathtaking view of the surrounding area and slide back on a plastic bag if you have one handy. The moving sand in the wind or when walked on gives out a definite note and makes a noise similar to an airplane passing by, that's why this particular part of the dunes is called "Singing" or "Sounding" would be more precise.

Jamaa, thank you for a well thought out itinerary. It seemed as if you read our minds and knew what we were looking for to experience: culture and nature.
A well planned itinerary requires a good team to implement it and you have a great team to make our adventure memorable.
Khulgee is a very knowledgeable guide. He has a passion for history and it shows in his day to day interaction with us talking about his country. He is a great outdoorsman as well and he accompanied us on all our excursions. In addition, Khulgee is very adaptive and flexible. He knows when to adjust the itinerary to make the best out of the circumstance. He is calm and has a good sense of humour and things are always in order.
Bugi is an amazing driver. He is skillful and he is patient. He takes care of the vehicle, always the first to be at the vehicle and the last to leave it to ensure our ride is most comfortable even during off-road.
Overall, between you, Khulgee and Bugi, Amicus has given us a wonderful experience to cherish forever. I will highly recommend my friends who are interested in visiting Mongolia to go with Amicus.
To those who are reading this and thinking of visiting Mongolia, you will have a great time with Amicus.

Hi Davaa, "I hope you are well. Our trip was fantastic. Thank you so much for your help.
I'd like to give you some feedback.
The guide in Beijing, Tristan, was fantastic. Helpful, well spoken and a lot of fun.
The guides in Mongolia were great too - especially Bogi in the Gobi.
As you might be aware, we had issues with our flights. We missed the connecting flight to Beijing from Shanghai due to a delay with our Sydney flight and we had our return flight from Xian to Beijing cancelled. Hence, we missed 2 nights at Wangfujing Hilton. I am putting a claim in with my travel insurance and need a letter from hotel confirming this happened and also confirming the cost of the two rooms for each of the nights missed. Could you please organize this for me?
Again, thanks for your help in organizing such a great trip.
Kind regards
Conn Banbas

“We had a wonderful adventure to the Gobi. Saw many animals, enjoyed our walk on the glacier, up the dunes, ride on camel & horse and staying in Gers. Wonderful weather,…….we cannot wait to return.”

We had a fantastic time! I want to let you know that Tour Company were fantastic. Everything went off like clockwork. The guides, hotels, attractions, and itinerary in both Mongolia and China were fantastic. We had no problems what so ever. The guides were there at the airport or docks to meet us every time on time and their attention to detail was great. They all spoke English very well, had great personalities, were well versed in the history and customs of each area and made us feel welcome and safe. They were informed of our upcoming itinerary plans and discussed these with us as well. Flights within Asia also were great. No delays or cancellations. I would not hesitate to recommend or travel with this company in the future.

I just wanted to let you know how wonderful it was. The people at Amicus Travel were wonderful and accommodating. The tour guide, Bayara was very informative and caring, we were like his little chicks, with "Follow me" he lead us to some amazing places and sights.
Our driver was incredible, the way he drove through narrow, winding roads, I have to admit, I did brake sometimes. Thank you again!!
