E-VISA
The Mongolia eVisa is a digital visa that allows foreign nationals to enter Mongolia for tourism or business purposes. It can be obtained by applying online via evisa.mn. Inspired by the electronic travel permit systems of other countries, authorities in Ulaanbaatar have introduced this streamlined eVisa system to simplify the visa process for international visitors.
Key Information:
Most foreign nationals require a valid visa and a passport with at least 6 months’ validity from the date of arrival in Mongolia. However, travelers from visa-exempt countries may enter without a visa for a limited period, depending on their nationality.
The Mongolia eVisa is typically issued as a single-entry visa, allowing a stay of 30 to 90 days, depending on the applicant’s nationality.
The eVisa is available for tourism and business purposes only.
Individuals with dual nationality must select the passport they will use for travel when applying.
It is strongly recommended to carry a copy of the eVisa—either a printed copy or a digital version (on a smartphone or tablet)—in case of technical issues at immigration.
Required Documents to Apply:
Recent passport-style photo of the applicant
Scanned copy of the passport personal details page
